We are people of vision. We are overflowing in ideas about community.
Ideas about what it means for Albany UU to be a good neighbor.
The excitement over these ideas is palpable.
We are in the midst of saying YES!
A stewardship campaign is a key opportunity to say YES. With our pledges, we say, YES, this is our beloved congregation, committed to a vision of the world worthy of our support. With our support, we say, YES, our congregation makes a difference in the lives of our friends and members. We say YES…
“We welcome everyone. Our Unitarian Universalist community seeks truth and deeper meaning, pursues justice through inspired action, and cultivates compassion and love for all connected by the web of life.”
We say YES, let us carry this vision and mission forward into another year.
Our congregational life is defined by the pooling of our collective resources: time, talent and treasure. We care for each other, together. We nurture our children and youth, together. We make a difference in the lives of those in need, together. We take a stand against injustice, together. And, together, we must ensure our dynamic congregation continues to flourish.
We ask you to think deeply about what Albany UU means to you, what Albany UU means to the greater community. Consider what you would like to give; think about what it would mean to increase your pledge. Determine your donor category and feel good about it. We have found that we are glad when we increased our pledge and decided to give more. We hope you will too.
Our campaign goal is $465,000, a 3% increase over last year.
It is imperative that we strengthen our financial security and programmatic capacity as we continue our discernment over what it means to be a good neighbor.
To ensure we reach this goal, please consider raising your pledge. We thank you.
Yours in service,
Dick Dana, President
Patti Jo Newell, Stewardship Chair
